Chapter 2: The Design
This home redesign honors a legacy of cherished memories while transforming it into a space that perfectly suits the lifestyle of a young, creative musician and crafts woman. Inherited from her mother, the home holds sentimental value, but the new design elevates its functionality and style to reflect the homeowner’s unique personality and passion for music and quilting. The family room was reimagined as a dedicated music room, and a garden-level bedroom now serves as her sewing and craft space, creating tailored environments for her creative pursuits.
The color palette is a calming, sophisticated blend of blues and creams, with Azule blue as a unifying element throughout the home. Cabinetry, countertops, and carefully chosen tiles create a sleek, modern aesthetic while adding a playful, whimsical touch. The thoughtful balance of color and clean lines infuses specifically the bathrooms with a fresh, contemporary feel.
